The game RI0T, created by Leonard Menchiari, offers a unique experience based on the creator's first-hand involvement in rioting during the NoTAV protests in Italy and other protests throughout Europe from 2012 to 2016. The game aims to portray the stories and emotions felt during these clashes, exploring what drives crowds to exhibit such anger and aggression. Moreover, it delves into the perspective of the outnumbered police officers caught in the conflict.

RI0T provides players with the opportunity to immerse themselves in both sides of the fight, highlighting that there are no clear winners in such situations. It encourages players to ponder over questions of right and wrong and draws them towards forming their own conclusions. The game also includes various achievements, such as clearing the rioters or police within certain time limits or without journalists present, which contribute to reaching 100% completion. RIOT offers several gameplay modes, including a single-player story mode that allows players to take on the role of either the rioters or the riot police. Furthermore, there is a two-player versus mode for those playing on the same device.
